Dr. Adam Powell is a highly trained endodontist in Tuscaloosa, AL. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa before receiving his doctor of dental medicine degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
He completed a one-year residency in general dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Birmingham before returning to The University of Alabama in Birmingham for a two-year endodontic residency.
Outside of work, Dr. Powell enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Cara, and their five children. He stays active by coaching youth sports teams and enjoys running, working out, waterskiing, hunting, and fishing. The Powell family is also involved with Church of the Highlands.

I had been dealing with excruciating pain in my mouth for a long time and I was referred here by my primary dentist. I was nervous at first, but everyone here was so incredible. They got me in for a last minute appointment and stayed late to help me out. Numbing injections normally don’t work on me, so dental procedures have always been a nightmare. But Dr. Stephen Thomas is a miracle worker and made it where I barely felt anything. 10/10.They just need an office cat and it would be my new favorite place!
